Why is it?

Some people are just born curious. These people make really good scientists (why is it that light travels faster than sound?) or journalists (why is it that most people don’t vote in elections?).

These people also make really good conversation. Asking why opens up a world of options and opportunities that a simple yes or no question doesn’t allow.  For example, why is it that men never replace the roll of toilet paper?  Or, why is it that women constantly wonder if their clothes make them look fat?
