Relax

Relax - Oregon plate

40% of what we worry about never actually happens.

Bill Gates gets 4 million emails every day. And the IRS has an entire computer dedicated to his tax return.  You probably get 50 – 200 emails a day and the IRS doesn’t even know your name.

Brittney Spears has 30 to 45 paparazzi following her around every night waiting for her to do something stupid.  My guess is you have zero following you.

Over 90% of all airplane crashes have survivors.

So see, there’s really nothing to worry about.  You can relaax.

Plus, as a human you share 35% of your DNA with daffodils–which are very lovely.

Pickle

Pickle - Oregon plate

In today’s world it’s important to be versatile.  The economy is all over the map and we have to learn to be flexible and adapt to almost any situation.

Kind of like the word pickle. As a word, it’s very versatile.

  • I’m afraid I’ve gotten myself into quite a pickle.
  • Peter picked a peck of pickled peppers…
  • Would you like onions and pickles on that?
  • Is that a pickle in your pocket? Or are you just happy to see me?

Versatile. Very versatile.

Mom’s Great

Mom's great!

As a mom and a daughter, I can TOTALLY vouch for the wisdom of this license plate.

Moms are great. They’re phenomenal actually. Who else in your life wouldn’t hesitate to wipe your poopy bottom, clean up your throw-up, spend hours brushing head lice out of your hair, help you nurse your first broken heart, let you drive her car all the time, help you nurse your second broken heart, set up your dorm room, cry at your wedding, change your baby’s diapers, help you through a divorce, cry at your second wedding…

Need I go on?

And through it all she loves you unconditionally without fail. No matter what.

Moms are great.  Go call yours and tell her thank you.

What now?

What now? Oregon plate

Do you ever have those days where you find yourself asking, “What now?”

The dog peed on the carpet, you walked into work in a skirt  suddenly realizing you haven’t shaved your legs for 3 days, your kids won’t stop bickering with each other and it’s become clear you seriously over-cooked the chicken. The phone rings and there’s a knock on the door.

“WHAT NOW?”

Here’s what. Take 3 really deep breaths.

Go ahead, take them.

Now read a thing or two from our Inspiring category of license plates.  While having a glass of wine.  Or maybe three glasses.

Good to be queen

Good To Be Queen - Washington plate

It’s not only good to be queen, it’s downright excellent.

How do I know this? Sometimes, after the kids have gone to bed and the house is quiet I close my eyes and imagine.

I imagine a land where lilacs and wisteria bloom year-round. And everything is colorful, and beautiful, and lush. And no one has to exercise or eat brussels sprouts ever again.

Ahh…it is good to be queen.

Innovate

Innovate - Washington plate

To innovate is to introduce something new; to make changes in anything established.

It’s a verb. A call to action.

Once upon a time the world was flat. There were no telephones, cars, planes, or computers. Believe it or not, there once was a world without texting and Facebook.

Innovation by pioneers like Magellan, Bell, Ford, the Wright brothers, Babbage and others made all these things possible.

Shake things up. Innovate.
