Vivaldi

Born in Venice in 1678, Vivaldi became ordained at age 25 and was nicknamed il Prete Rosso (The Red Priest) for his red hair.

Vivaldi played the violin and his most famous work is The Four Seasons (1723).

He also wrote:

  • 500 concertos
  • 90 sonatas
  • 60 sacred works
  • 50 operas
